Fern does IT testing (Part 1)
It was another day at SirTech and Fern was busy soldering chastity belts in the factory when Sir appeared at her desk.
"Hi Fern" said Sir.
"Could you do me a favour?"
"IT needs a tester to fill in for someone at the last minute."
Fern didn't really know what Sir was talking about but she agreed because she wanted to make Sir happy.
"Okay... I mean, yes Sir," said Fern.
"I'll get them to email over the details," replied Sir before going back to his office to continue with his important SirTech business.
Fern resumed working at her desk while wondering what it was she had agreed to as she waited for an email to arrive. Fern had forgotten the golden rule to never volunteer for anything but making Sir happy is always a good thing. Plus she wasn't sure if sir was actually asking.
A while later an emailed arrived and she stopped what she was doing to open it.
"IT testing with Jenna... tomorrow 9AM till 5PM"
Fern gulped as soon as she saw the email was from Jenna! What could she want with her, wondered Fern, and why did the email want her to stay so late!? Fern gulped again and reluctantly accepted the invitation as she read through the rest of the email.
After skimming the content of the email Fern has got the gist that it she was needed to help test some new IT system but the details seemed murky. The email was vague and had clearly been written by someone with technical IT knowledge who assumed everyone else must have too.
"So Jenna wants me to test some stuff? Could be interesting," thought Fern to herself. Before resuming her work.
She emailed back to ask if she needed to bring anything but the response only told her to bring herself, enthusiasm, and coffee. Seven hours working with Jenna might require a lot of coffee.
She would find out tomorrow what "IT Testing" would involve.
